Therapeutic Massage

Massage that meets you
where you are.

Focused when you need it. Slower when you don’t.

One personalised treatment bringing together different massage techniques, shaped around what brings you in that day.

30, 60, 90 & 120 minute appointments available.

One treatment. Different needs.

You don’t need to know which type of massage to book.

You might come in because your back has been aching for weeks. Your shoulders might feel permanently tight. You may be recovering from training, struggling with stiffness, or simply exhausted and in need of some proper time to switch off.

You don’t need to decide whether that means sports massage, deep tissue or something more relaxing.

You simply book Therapeutic Massage, and we work from what you need.

YOUR SESSION

Different techniques. One treatment.

Depending on what you need, your massage may bring together different elements of my training.

01

Deeper, focused work

Deep tissue techniques, trigger point work and myofascial release can be used when an area needs more focused attention.

02

Slower, calming work

Not every area needs more pressure. Slower massage and gentler techniques can be used when your body needs something different.

03

Cupping

Cupping can be incorporated into your treatment where appropriate.

04

Stretching & movement

Stretching and movement-based techniques can be included as part of the treatment when they suit what we are working on.

IS IT FOR ME?

People come to me for all sorts of reasons:

Tight shoulders from sitting at a desk

Ongoing muscular aches and tension

Feeling stiff or restricted

Recovery from sport, training or physical work

Stress and feeling constantly switched on

Simply wanting a really good massage

Wanting deeper massage without an entire session being painfully intense

And sometimes there isn’t a particular problem at all.

You are allowed to book a massage simply because you want one.

YOUR APPOINTMENT

We start with a conversation, not a routine.

Before we begin, we’ll have a short check-in about how you’re feeling, what has brought you in and what you would like from your treatment.

You don’t have to stay silent once the massage starts either. If you want more pressure, less pressure, something doesn’t feel right, you’re uncomfortable or you simply want me to leave an area alone, tell me.

It’s your treatment.

OPTIONAL SOUND

Sometimes I put my hands down.

If you would like it, sound can become a small part of your massage. I may use a singing bowl, Koshi chimes, ocean drum or gentle drumming to create a quieter moment within the treatment.

It isn’t a separate treatment and there is nothing extra to book. You can simply decide on the day.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Is there anything I need to know?

Most people can enjoy massage, but there are situations where treatment may need to be adapted, postponed or may not be appropriate.

Please contact me before booking if you:

  • Are currently unwell or have an active infection
  • Have or are being investigated for a blood clot
  • Have recently had surgery, a fracture or significant injury
  • Have a medical condition that may affect whether massage is appropriate
  • Are currently undergoing cancer treatment or have recently completed treatment

Pregnancy

I don’t currently offer pregnancy massage and recommend booking with a therapist specifically trained in this area.

If you’re unsure whether massage is suitable for you, please get in touch before booking and I’ll be happy to advise.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

You don’t need to know exactly what you need.

Choose how much time you would like, book your appointment, and we’ll work out the rest when you’re here.

A few things you might be wondering.

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Depending on the treatment, you may be asked to remove some clothing. Your comfort, privacy, and dignity will always be respected, and towels or blankets will be used throughout the session.

This depends on the treatment and the area being worked on.

Underwear must remain on at all times. Only the area being treated will be uncovered, and the rest of the body will remain covered with a blanket.

If you feel uncomfortable at any point, please let me know.

Appointments are available for 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes. The longer appointments simply give us more time to work across different areas or combine focused work with a fuller treatment.

All appointments must be booked online through the booking system. I no longer take bookings over the phone.

Yes. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, missed appointments, or no-shows may be charged in line with the cancellation policy.

Please let me know as soon as possible if you’re running late.

Your appointment will still finish at the scheduled time, and if you arrive more than 20 minutes late, the session may need to be cancelled or shortened.

Yes. All new clients are required to complete a consultation form before their first appointment. This helps me understand your health history, any injuries or medical conditions, and what you’d like to get from the treatment.

The form is sent automatically when you book online and should be completed before your appointment whenever possible.

Yes. I welcome both male and female clients and provide a professional, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone.

If you have any questions before booking, please feel free to get in touch.
